1. Pat chicken dry with paper towel. Combine oil, chili powder, salt and pepper; rub all over chicken including inside cavity.
2. Manually set the CRUX 5.3 QT Digital Air Convection Fryer: Temperature 400˚F. Time: 60 minutes. Place chicken in air fryer basket, breast side down.
3. Cook chicken, turning breast side up halfway through cooking time, until golden brown and instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of inner thigh registers 165°F. Let stand for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with barbecue sauce.
